the lady of shallot

The story is about a woman who is imprisoned on the island of shallot on the middle of the river of Camelot, she spends her time waving a magic web and she couldn’t get out of the tower because if she looked at Camelot she will be coursed.

Patience it’s the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, problems or suffering without becoming annoyed or anxious. It’s also the ability to endure difficult circumstances such as perseverance in the face of delay; tolerance of provocation without responding in annoyance.

Caring is displaying kindness and concern for others, the work or practice of looking after those unable to care for themselves especially on account of age or illness.

I think this story have all of the two values , the patience and the caring but at the half of the story this two values are broken, well to start I’m going to say that the lady of shallot when she knew she was cursed she had too much patience well she knew that she couldn’t see to Camelot because she was cursed but she doesn’t know why , so she had this magical mirror were she could see everyone in Camelot , an she also was weaving a magical web with the gay colors since she had nothing more to do.  

The lady of shallot was very caring with her thing, she protected her web, and care for it too much, also the lady of shallot weaved everything she saw thru the mirror that was happening in Camelot.

 So, one day she saw a beautiful man that was sir Lancelot, so she said that she was tired of only weave and just look thru the mirror, in this part of the story the lady of shallot loses her patience and her caring for her life , so she goes out of her room looking to Camelot  the magic web leaves and the mirror breaks side to side so she knew that the curse was coming for her , so she takes a boat put her name on it and sat there.

The lady of shallot take the boat to Camelot while she was singing a song, waiting with patience her slowly death, so she almost reaches the first house of Camelot when her blood freezes 

 In conclusion I think the lady of shallot , had patience and caring for herself at the beginning of the story and in the middle, that is  before she was cursed , and when she was cursed , until the lady of shallot sees sir Lancelot , and wanted to see him , that’s where she loses her patience and her caring for herself , because  if she would care for her life se wouldn’t get out of the tower and never lose her patience. So I can tell that the lady of shallot at the end of the story doesn’t  care for herself and for her life because she just go out without knowing the consequences of the curse
